Start with a website

1. Create an account, verify your email and set up a passkey.
2. Add an organisation’s website in Watchers. Initial collection establishes a baseline; it is not a new-change signal.
3. Review the selected pages. Each website watcher can monitor up to 50 pages. You can pin important pages and exclude others.
4. New changes appear in Signals. Buy credits to reveal delivered signals, then optionally create an Insight to analyse them.

What is free?

A new workspace starts with no credits and can monitor up to three websites free. Setup, routine checks and quiet periods do not consume credits. Detected signals can remain locked until you add credits.

After a credit purchase, a workspace with a positive balance supports up to ten watchers. LinkedIn, web mentions and AI analysis also need available credits. X monitoring is not currently supported.

If a funded workspace reaches zero credits, website monitoring continues through a grace period and advanced monitoring pauses. After the evaluation or grace period ends, monitoring is suspended until you add credits; watcher settings and history remain available. See the terms for the applicable periods.

How are credits charged?

A delivered signal costs one credit. A completed AI analysis batch costs three credits and covers up to 200 signals from up to ten watchers. Larger selections need additional batches. Failed or quiet analyses cost nothing; credits reserved while an analysis runs are released if it fails.

Packs cost US$10 for 40 credits, US$30 for 150 or US$75 for 450. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. There is no subscription or automatic top-up. All packs have the same capabilities.

Active watchers and scheduled Insights can use available credits automatically. Pause watchers or scheduled Insights when you want to stop those future charges. Pending eligible signals and analyses may resume after a top-up. Turning off email notifications does not pause monitoring or charging.

When will I see a change?

Monitoring is periodic. Active or recently changing targets are generally checked every 12 hours; targets quiet for 30 days move to daily checks, and those quiet for 90 days to checks every three days. Collection and processing can take longer when a source is unavailable.

Data Surfer monitors selected accessible pages and supported sources. It cannot promise every page, every change or same-day delivery. A new watcher needs a baseline and a later change before it can produce a change signal. Check the watcher’s collection status and selected pages if results seem quiet.

Account recovery and emails

Use “Reset your passkey” on the login page if you lose access to your passkey. Recovery requires access to your account email. Signal and Insight email notifications can be changed in Settings.

Contact support

Email nick@data-surfer.com with your account email, the affected watcher or Insight, and what happened. Do not send passwords, passkeys, verification links or payment-card details.

Support is by email. Data Surfer is a self-service product; demos, bespoke implementation and guaranteed response times are not included. Feature requests help inform the roadmap but are not delivery commitments.

Your data and account closure

To request access to your personal data, a copy, correction, deletion or account closure, email a privacy request. For information about you on a monitored public page, include its URL and the information concerned. We may need to verify your identity or workspace authority before acting.
