What we are building

Most prospecting tools make it easier to build a bigger list. Data Surfer is built for a different workflow: start with the right accounts, explain why they fit, find the likely buying committee, and watch for public changes that create a credible reason to start a conversation.

The platform focuses on public-source research, cited findings, contact discovery, buying signal monitoring, call prep, and value-first outreach workflows. It is not designed for mass cold email blasting.

Nick Watson

Nick has spent more than 22 years as a lead developer, entrepreneur, CTO, and people-first technology leader. Before Data Surfer, he led SureScale.ai, founded legal tech company Ruby Datum, and served as Head of Development at Optix Solutions.

That background shaped Data Surfer's product direction: planning before volume, quality before shortcuts, and clear evidence before claims. The result is a sales research platform designed to help teams understand accounts before they reach out.

Nick also holds a Level 3 diploma in counselling skills, which reinforces the same operating principle behind the product: understand people and context first, then act.
